If you are going to be shopping at Fred Meyer today then you might want to print off this coupon and take it with you. It is for $5.00/$25.00 or $10.00/$50.00 purchase of home, apparel, electronics or Fred Meyer Jewelry merchandise. (it excludes food items.)

They are also having a 1 day sale but nothing looked very good to me.

Substitution For Ground Beef at Fred Meyer

I went to Fred Meyer to get the ground beef they have on sale this week for 1.68 lb sold in 3 lb packages. Unfortunately they were all out of it. I talked to the butcher and he said they were substituting the sale packages for the 80% lean meat 3lb package (too high of fat content for me) or the 85% extra lean meat in the 1 lb packages (smaller versions of what was on sale). I was excited about this because it is already portioned out for me. I am not sure if I am supposed to do this but I just left the meat in the wrapper and stuck it in the freezer. I have done this before and it has worked fine. It saved me so much time and I didn't have to factor in the cost of packaging it. So if your store is out I would ask and see if they are substituting it for the smaller version.

I bought 10 of the 1 lb packages.

This week has been a very sucessful one being that all of the stores that I went to have had what I wanted. Above is the loot I got from Fred Meyer. I only paid 7.08 for all of it. I plan on adding half of the cough drops to my donation box (there is no way that my family needs that many; I bet there is another family out there who could use some though).
Here's the breakdown of the deal:

1 Tilllimook 2lb Cheese Brick 3.99 limit 1 (no coupon needed)

1 Fresh Whole Chicken .79 lb ( mine was 2.35)

On a sad note I look in the toys and no Freddy Bear. See my post You'll find it at Fred Meyer for details.
