Albertson's Trip and a Great Find

I went to Albertson's this morning to use my doublers. I left the house all excited to get some great deals. When I finally reached the store that excitement faded into a complete lack of interest. If we lived closer to an Albertson's I probably would have gone home. But since I was there I went in (to justify the gas it took to get there) and you know what I am so glad that I did.
I was able to get almost all the things that I wanted and a couple of suprise deals.

There is a catalina printing on P&G products buy 3 selected items get $5.00 catalina. Well Herbal Essence is part of that deal. I had heard that the trial size were possibly triggering the catalina so this is what I did.

Paid: $3.87 plus tax
Got $5.00 catalina

I did this twice.

They also had Taco Bell 12 count taco shells priced at $1.00 with $.50/1 peelie coupons on them.
I doubled the coupons and got 4 for free. I am not sure if these were just at the store I went to or not. I was at the Overland and Orchard store in Boise and they had about 5-6 left when I left.

I also bought the milk (normally $2.19) with one of my $5.00 catalinas.

Out of pocket I spent $4.77 for everything and I still have a $5.00 catalina and a $2.00 survey left to spend next time. Making money sure did perk up my enthusiasm for shopping.

If we get doubles on Sunday then I can see free Crest toothpaste and cheap toothbrushes. (Although I personally have no need of either of those items).

I haven't confirmed doubles but going with the schedule that they have been coming this weekend should be the weekend.

Side Note: I went to the Albertson's in Caldwell (the stadium store) and they had some Cool Whip but the grocery manager said that they would be getting a huge shipment of it in on Friday.

I went to Albertson's yesterday to do my doubles and well most of my shopping for the week.
I was happy to find that they had everything that I wanted.
I was glad that I wasn't trying to get the in on the ice cream deals this week because both of the stores that I went to were sold out. (There must have been at least four or five people asking about it at each store when I was paying. Very crazy. I guess the heat must make everyone crave ice cream.)
I am only posting the first two transactions that I did because they were very specific. The rest of the deals can be found here.

For everything including the first two transactions the I outlined above my total came to only $13.01 including tax. My receipts say that my total before coupons and sales was supposed to be $140.65. ( I normally look at this number but realize that most of the "regular" prices at Albertson's are greatly inflated. I would say that this was probably about $90.00- $100.00 worth of groceries at Walmart or Winco.)
If you divide the number of items that I bought into what I spent, then each item would only be about $.23( and that's including tax). Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

Remember that today is the last day to use your doublers. Also the June dairy promo is almost over, so if there is anything that you were planning on getting with that there are only a few more days left.

Albertson's Trip with the Kids

So I did an Albertson's run yesterday. Mainly to get my husband some soda. (He's off the wagon. And back on the Dr. Pepper.) I got a bunch of great deals and it only took me an hour, plus eight transactions and one major headache. Lets just say both my kids were with me. I know most people don't like to take their kids with them for that very reason and I may complain about it from time to time but I feel like my family really has a lot of fun in the evenings when my husband could watch them. I also don't want to lose any time with my husband after the kids go to bed. (after almost nine years of marriage I still love to hang out with him as much as I can.)

So here's what this great (with kids) shopping adventure produced:
